serving at Epic

At Epic, we’re about challenging a generation to engage the epic story of God.  Each one of us has a story that intersects with God’s story.  God wants us to find our place in His story and to live out our lives with passion and purpose for Him.

Jesus knew His purpose – He came to serve (see Mark 10:45).  The Creator of the Universe had every right to show up and demand that we serve Him, but that’s not how God operates.  Jesus shows up on the planet and says, “Let Me show you the best way to live.”  Then He gets down on His knees and serves us.

When we serve, we are most like God.

Serving isn’t about checking off a box so God is happy. We can serve and not make God happy. Serving is about allowing God to flow His mighty power through us to transform not only our lives, but the lives of others around us.

So, whether you are setting up chairs, holding babies, serving coffee, or greeting at the door, you are being used by God to transform someone else’s life. In the process of serving others, you might notice that your life is being changed as well.

Here’s what we’re looking for in our Epic servants:

  • Having a heart to serve (it’s not about us)
  • Being teachable (we all can learn from each other)
  • Being reliable (if you say you’ll be there, be there)

Thanks for being willing to serve our great King by serving at Epic!

Glad to be in the trenches with you!
